Ian Williams and Colin Donovan have been firm friends since childhood and started the company in 1999 by opening the Hockley sales office. In June 1999 Chris Fisher joined them using his 30 years of experience to establish our Lettings and Management Department which, in 2004 we moved to a dedicated office opposite our sales office. In January 2014 we opened our Benfleet sales and lettings office which is run by Ian Williams.

All of the directors live in the area and still are at the core of the business. They will oversee the whole process and are further assisted by our management team who in turn are backed up by a hand selected team who all care for the business as if it is their own. He is a popular face amongst the community having grown up and lived in Hockley all his life, he lives with his wife and two boys. James has been a key part of our success in becoming the Market Leader and in 2016 he became one of our directors. He is an exceptional agent and knows the local area and its property market like the back of his hand!

Having worked as an Estate Agent for over 35 years, Paul is one of the most experienced and respected agents in the area having worked in several roles within the industry. Since joining us in 2009 he has experienced several roles with us and is now our after sales specialist, responsible for chasing all of our Hockley sales.

Tom joined us in 2013 after working for another independent agent. He has quickly developed his role since joining us and is now our office manager. Tom knows the market inside out and also carries out market appraisals from our Hockley office ensuring your home looks its best when coming to market. In 2020 Tom launched our Commercial Sales & Lettings department and handles all commercial related enquiries for the company.

Jack joined the team in September 2020 and has quickly developed his role. He is now an experienced sales consultant with extensive knowledge of the area and the property industry. Jack handles many of our offer negotiations as well as meeting clients on accompanied viewings.
Leigh Webb-Walters

Leigh joined us in 2021. She helps arrange and conduct our accompanied viewings as well as provide our vendors with regular feedback.
Claire Crome

Claire joined in January 2018. She helps arrange and conduct our accompanied viewings as well as provide our vendors with regular feedback. Claire has always lived in Hockley and is a friendly face around town. She knows the area incredibly well and is always on hand to listen and give advice when needed.
Janice Wheeler
Secretary
Having previously worked for a total of 23 years with the banking industry in London, Janice joined us in March 2004. Having grown up just outside of London, Janice moved to Folly Lane in Hockley where she lived for many years before moving to Rayleigh where she lives with her husband. Her position within Williams & Donovan is to undertake the secretarial and administrative role and she is an integral member of our team.
Deborah Hickman
Secretary
Following on from a career at a city stock brokers Deb then had her two children. She has since worked for financial advisors and conveyancers. before joining us in August 2012. Having lived in Hockley all her life, she knows Hockley like the back of her hand and loves the village. Deb is one of our secretaries and works in the background to help ensure your property details and online advertising always look their best.
