  Richard Kendall MNAEA

  Founder

  Richard is now approaching his 50th year of selling and renting houses in the Wakefield and surrounding area. He has built up a considerable CV since 1969, surviving a few recessions, the miners strike of 1975, the booms and bust years of the late 1990s, and our current global economic crisis which doesn’t seem to be abating anytime soon. Despite all of this, Richard is still here as strong as ever, despite the efforts of his children to take an easier life. Saying that, we really wouldn’t want him anywhere else.

  Simon Kendall MARLA MNAEA

  Partner

  Having initially turned his attention to cookery in the early stages of his education, whilst this is still a passion, Simon joined the family firm 25 years ago, learning the ropes of estate agency from the administration office duties, sales, lettings and then ultimately valuation. Simon headed up the Valuation department for a number of years before taking on the role of Partner in our lettings department. Here the rental team have continues in their success and now manage nearly 1000 properties and finding tenants for landlords all over the Wakefield area for 500 more each year.

  Claire Kendall MARLA MNAEA

  Partner

  Claire was sent away by her Mum and Dad (Jennifer and Richard Kendall) to University to become a Chartered Surveyor. Instead of coming straight into the family firm, Claire decided to make her mark with a major property company in London and after 7 years decided to transfer within that company to her base in Leeds to be nearer home of course. After a short while Claire decided what in common terms is stated as a ‘no brainer’, instead of working for somebody else 10 miles up the road, it would be better to join the family firm, along with her brother Simon, who had already been with the company 12 years. Claire now oversees the overall running of our sales department and deals with the company’s administration responsibilities.

  Jody Murphy MNAEA

  Associate Director

  Jody joined Richard Kendall Estate Agent in 2016 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Having initially covered the property management and rental side Jody started covering the sales side too 5 years ago. With a total of 17 years managing and valuing properties around the local area and being a local lad he is a great asset to the team and we are delighted to have him on board.

  Lisa Wood

  Pontefract Office Manager

  Lisa joined the company 10 years ago, and after deciding to try her hand at pastures new, returned to us in 2016 and bring back her wealth of knowledge in Estate Agency. Since the age of 16 Lisa has been selling houses for the people of Wakefield and now Pontefract and was the obvious choice when the business required an office manager for our growing office.

  Ossett Office Manager

  Melanie is without question Richard Kendall Estate Agent through and through, having spent the majority of her estate agency life with us. She has extensive experience in selling houses in and around the local areas and you will be hard pushed to find another negotiator with such a breadth of knowledge in the local area.

  Roger Hall MNAEA

  Associate Director

  Roger started his career as an Estate Agent in 1993 after graduating from University with an honours degree in Urban Estate Management and became a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents in 2008. From his first role answering the phones and sticking photographs on photocopied brochures, Roger has worked his way up through the ranks through two recessions experiencing all the extreme peaks and troughs that the market can present. A highly experienced valuer with over 20 years experience in the valuation of residential properties, Roger regularly deals with the broadest range of properties from the most modest of starter homes through to large country houses.

  Carol Rogers MARLA

  Horbury office manager

  Another long serving member of the Richard Kendall staff, who has been involved in Estate Agency longer than any of us can remember. Carol oversees the day to day management of the office and has a wealth of knowledge and experience, especially with the legal aspects that residential lettings entail.

  Karen Dawson MNAEA

  Normanton office manager

  Karen has been working with Richard for 20 years (and we’re not sure she will thank us for reminding her of this). Without question a loyal member of staff who gives her all to the company and to the staff members who work with her at the Normanton office. Karen knows the people of Normanton and Altofts like the back of her hand and loves meeting all those who regularly come in to the office to see her.

  Tina Wood MNAEA

  Castleford Office Manager

  Tina joined Richard Kendall Estate Agent as a Senior Property Negotiator in 2016 in a seamless transition, as if she had always been part of the family. Tina, sister to Lisa Wood in our Pontefract office has a breadth of knowledge in selling houses, having worked in this role for a good number of years. She has since gone on to become office manager at our most recent office in Castleford. With such a wealth of experience and such a welcoming manner, we are confident that she will lead our Castleford office into great success.
