  James Gesner MARLA MNAEA

  Director

  James became an Estate Agent in 1997 and has built a strong reputation within the industry. Having previously worked for corporate agents in High Wycombe, Reading and Didcot, James took over Lesters Estate Agents in Wallingford in 2001 and then opened in Didcot in 2007. With an excellent reputation and vast experience of selling and letting all types of properties across South Oxfordshire, James made the move to set up his own agency in 2015 and James Gesner Estate Agency was born. James grew up in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell and attended Wallingford School. He bought his first house in Didcot back in 2000 and now lives in Wallingford with his wife and four beautiful children. James loves a challenge and over the last couple years he has run both the Reading half marathon and the London Marathon twice, raising over £10,000 for two different charities. James enjoys a game of golf and he is a longstanding member at Hadden Hill Golf Club in Didcot.

  David Rayfield MNAEA

  Assistant Manager

  David graduated the University of the West of England in 2008 and has worked with James ever since. He has lived in the area all his life and he bought his first home on the Ladygrove in 2012, where he lived with his wife for three years. He has recently become a father and has since moved to Wallingford to be closer to the practice where his wife works as a district nurse. Having owned homes in both local towns and only recently gone through the sale and purchase process himself, David understands completely how stressful moving can be and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service throughout the entire process, ensuring a successful outcome for all parties. David enjoys all aspects of his role, particularly valuing properties and undertaking viewings on properties offered for sale and to rent.

  Holly Weston MARLA

  Property Manager

  Holly has worked with James as Property Manager for the last 6 years and during this time she has undertaken extensive training to become fully qualified via A.R.L.A. On a day to day basis Holly deals with everything landlord and tenant related. This includes drawing up Tenancy Agreements, organising maintenance, making sure our Landlords get paid on time and registering Tenants' deposits with the TDS scheme. Holly lives in Wallingford, having previously lived in Abingdon, and North Oxford. She can often be found at 6.30am sessions at the Barn Fitness in Cholsey, or sipping cocktails with friends at the Chequers, Burcot.

  Carl Davis

  Senior Negotiator

  Carl was born and raised in the village of Upton, and he now lives in Didcot on Great Western Park at The Atrium. He is a familiar face around the town, being most renowned for representing England over the last 14 years at Taekwon-Do. He also runs a very successful Taekwon-Do school in Wantage. Carl is extremely passionate about this sport and it has taught him determination, respect, courtesy and honesty. These are traits which have made Carl an instant success during his two years in the industry. Carl’s favourite part of Estate Agency is meeting people and forming solid relationships.

  Annie Griffiths

  Lettings Negotiator

  Annie has lived in Didcot all her life and attended Didcot Girls School. She is a perfectionist and has excellent people skills which is ideal for dealing with our tenants and landlords on a daily basis. When she isn’t looking after our portfolio of managed properties she can be found at the gym most mornings before work and drinking Rosé on the weekends with friends. She also loves to walk her dog ‘Bella’.
