Goadsby was established in 1958, the founding partners at that time spinning off a well established Bournemouth estate agency practice, and setting up business in St Peter’s Road, Bournemouth, handling both residential and commercial property work. Quickly, the business grew to a clutch of branches in the Bournemouth and surrounding area. Through the 1970’s and early 1980’s, the business witnessed considerable expansion, with a number of strategic residential business acquisitions and cold starts, and the first real steps towards specialisation within our Commercial Agency and Professional Services disciplines at Bournemouth Head Office. The business incorporated in 1984 and a major management buy-out was completed in 1990. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, the Group continued to expand at all levels, notably its residential branch network, expanding considerably in the east and north, into the Avon Valley on the Dorset/Hants border, and up into south Wiltshire, and in the west, across south and west Dorset. January 1st 2005 saw a major expansion of the Commercial business, with offices in Southampton and Winchester and more recently, the addition of a Dorchester Commercial office. Today, the Goadsby Group comprises 21 offices in central southern England, with a total staff complement of 180, a turnover of £11M, and a UK ranking 26th of all composite property services providers. The Group has specialist teams covering all aspects of residential and commercial business, including Sales, Lettings, New Homes, Homes of Distinction, Land, Mortgage Services, Business Space, Retail, Hotels and Leisure, Investment Consultancy, Special Projects, Survey and Valuation, Building Consultancy, Town Planning, Property Management, Corporate Consultancy, and Public Sector.
